De la Rey Venter
De la Rey Venter

Mr. Venter is the CEO of MidOcean Energy, EIG’s LNG focused investment vehicle. He joined EIG in 2022 after 20 years with Shell where he was, amongst other roles, the Global Head of LNG and a member of the leadership teams of Shell’s Upstream and Integrated Gas and New Energies directorates. He started his career in the mining industry with a variety of strategy, sales, marketing and distribution roles with Samancor and Billiton. Over the course of his career the Venter family has lived in South Africa, the Netherlands, the UK, Switzerland, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and the USA. Mr. Venter holds a Bachelor degree in Finance and Accounting from the Northwest University in South Africa, a Honours Degree in Investment Management from the University of Johannesburg and an MBA from the Institute for Management Development (IMD) in Lausanne, Switzerland.


Ben Vinocour
Ben Vinocour

Mr. Vinocour is Chief Financial Officer of MidOcean Energy, Ltd. He previously served as General Counsel for Harbour Energy, an investment vehicle managed by EIG that successfully culminated in the formation, transformation, and public listing of Harbour Energy (HBR:LSE). Mr. Vinocour has been with EIG in various roles since 2010. Previously, he was at Latham & Watkins, LLP in Washington, DC where he was an energy and private equity finance lawyer. Mr. Vinocour received a B.A. in Political Science and History from Cornell University and a J.D. cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School.


Terence Jupp
Terence Jupp

Terence Jupp is the Chief Operating Officer for MidOcean Energy with responsibility for overseeing the company’s portfolio, including technical, project management, safety, environmental, drilling and production activities. As part of the Leadership Team, he also plays a key role in strategy development, acquisition target due diligence and capital allocation. He previously served as Chief Operating Officer for Harbour Energy, an investment vehicle managed by EIG that successfully culminated in the formation, transformation, and public listing of Harbour Energy (HBR:LSE). Mr. Jupp has more than 30 years of international experience in the upstream oil and gas industry, and has held various executive level positions.

Prior to joining EIG, Mr. Jupp was Chief Operating Officer for CASA Exploration where he led the operations, development and engineering activities of the company. Prior to that, he served as the Vice President of International Operations for Anadarko Petroleum. With Kerr-McGee Oil and Gas he served as the Vice President of International Exploration and Production, Vice President and Managing Director for the UK North Sea, Vice President of the US Onshore Exploration and Production and Director of Deepwater Development for the Gulf of Mexico. Mr. Jupp has managed various development projects ranging from multi-spar developments in the deep-water GOM to onshore projects in the remote regions of Central Asia. He has also managed large business units with daily production excess of 80,000 BOPD, annual budgets in excess of $500 mm and reserves exceeding 1 BBO. Mr. Jupp started his career with Sun Oil Company as a Reservoir Acquisitions Engineer. He has held various technical and executive positions with Oryx Energy Co., Turkana Energy and Trans-Global Oil and Gas Corp.

Mr. Jupp is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering and is a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas. He serves on the Board of Directors of Dril-Quip Inc. (NYSE: DRQ), one of the world’s leading manufacturers of precision-engineered offshore drilling and production equipment.


Vahid Farzad
Vahid Farzad

Vahid Farzad is the Chief Business Development Officer of MidOcean Energy. He previously served as Chief Business Development Officer for Harbour Energy, an investment vehicle managed by EIG that successfully culminated in the formation, transformation, and public listing of Harbour Energy (HBR:LSE). Prior to joining EIG in September 2015, Mr. Farzad held various business development and commercial roles at oil and gas companies including Petrobras Africa, Dominion Petroleum and Salamander Energy. Mr. Farzad started his career at Goldman Sachs in the Investment Banking Division and received an MA from The University of Oxford, an MSC from The London School of Economics and an MBA from INSEAD.


Emily Rodgers
Emily Rodgers

Ms. Rodgers joined EIG in 2020 and is a Managing Director and Director of ESG as well as the Chief Sustainability Officer of MidOcean Energy. She is based in EIG’s Houston office and serves as a member of the Executive Committee and Chairwoman of the ESG Committee. Her role involves integration of ESG risks and opportunities into EIG’s investment process, engagement with investors and portfolio companies on impact and ESG topics, and developing portfolio and fund sustainable investing strategies. In 2023, Ms. Rodgers began serving on the Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials Global Core Team.

Prior to EIG, Ms. Rodgers was Director of Environment and Sustainability at Apache Corporation where she managed a global team focused on environmental compliance, data management and reporting, decarbonization pathways, and ESG engagement and disclosure. Previously, Ms. Rodgers held a variety of roles at Anadarko Petroleum Corporation, including ESG Advisor, Corporate Responsibility Manager, and Climate Change & GHG Lead, during which she developed sustainability reporting strategies, engaged with shareholders, and managed global climate change risk management and reporting programs. Prior to her work in oil and gas, Ms. Rodgers was a Project Manager and Consultant at ERM where she supported a variety of sectors. Ms. Rodgers received a B.A. from Colgate University and a M.E.M. from Duke University.
