Mr. Parnaby joined MidOcean Energy in November 2024 as Group Finance Director and Group Controller. He previously served as Group Finance Director of Neptune Energy where he played a key role in developing the corporate finance team with responsibility for financial reporting, management reporting, business planning and budgeting, economics, financial systems, hydrocarbon invoicing and cost allocation processes for the group. He also played a pivotal role in the sale of Neptune Energy to Eni, a transaction that completed in January 2024. Mr. Parnaby began his career with Deloitte where he worked for 6 years in both its audit and corporate finance (M&A) departments. Subsequently, he worked for 12 years at BG Group/Shell, initially at BG’s corporate headquarters in the UK in various roles including Group Head of Reporting and also in Houston where he worked for 6 years as CFO of BG’s US E&P business and Finance Director for the Lake Charles LNG project. Mr. Parnaby is a Chartered Accountant and holds a BSc in Physics from Durham University.
