Jose Flores is Controller, Americas for MidOcean Energy. Prior to joining MidOcean Energy, he served as Controller, Low Carbon Ventures at Oxy and held a series of senior finance leadership roles at BHP, where he spent nearly 17 years in positions of increasing responsibility across the United States and Chile. Mr. Flores began his career with Arthur Andersen and KPMG, spending five years as an auditor and management consultant serving clients in the energy and resources sectors. With more than 25 years of experience in finance, accounting, financial reporting, and strategic business partnering, Mr. Flores has a proven track record of leading high-performing finance organizations, driving operational and process improvements, and strengthening financial governance and controls. He possesses deep expertise in IFRS and U.S. GAAP and is a bilingual finance executive with extensive international experience throughout North and South America.
