Juan L. Ramirez is Head of Legal, MidOcean Energy Americas, a position he has held since August 2026. Juan leads the company’s legal function across the Americas, with a focus on acquisitions of interests in operating LNG assets and on joint venture governance. Prior to joining MidOcean Energy, Juan spent thirteen years with Mitsubishi Corporation (Americas), most recently as Deputy General Manager, Legal and Compliance, and concurrently as Deputy Chief Legal Officer and Deputy Chief Compliance Officer of Mitsubishi International Corporation, where he led the New York legal team. His work spanned Mitsubishi’s LNG and natural gas value chain, power, and cross-border M&A. Juan began his career at Debevoise & Plimpton LLP in New York. He holds a J.D. from Yale Law School and a B.S. in Computer Science from Northwestern University.
