Mr. McCabe is Chief Financial Officer, Australia for MidOcean Energy. Prior to joining EIG in July 2023, Mr. McCabe had been Chief Financial Officer and Chief Commercial Officer at ASX-listed Queensland-based natural gas company Senex Energy between 2019 and 2023, with responsibilities including accounting, tax, treasury, investor relations, insurance, business development and the establishment of a gas trading function.

Between 2009 and 2019, Mr. McCabe was the inaugural Chief Financial Officer and Deputy CEO for Australia Pacific LNG, an incorporated CSG to LNG project in Queensland. Mr. McCabe led the finance function through project inception, construction and commissioning, the establishment of an initial USD $8.5bn project finance facility, achievement of an investment grade-credit rating and a subsequent USD $4.5bn refinancing.

Before APLNG, Mr. McCabe was at Origin Energy in a variety of management roles across the retail and energy markets business, as well as strategy and business development including numerous gas and electricity business acquisitions.

Mr. McCabe is a Chartered Accountant, has a Masters in Applied Finance & Investment and a Bachelor of Commerce from Adelaide University.
