Mr Mahony is Senior Vice President, Asset Management for MidOcean Energy. Prior to being engaged by EIG in 2023, Mr Mahony held senior commercial roles in the energy industry within Chevron, Shell, Woodside and Tattarang working on projects and assets in Australia, India, China, UK, USA, Timor Leste and former CIS countries including Ukraine. These roles spanned 25 years covering LNG, oil, gas, electricity and renewables and included responsibility for business development, asset management, joint venture management, trading and marketing, LNG cargo operations, global LNG portfolio management, commercial negotiation, financial modelling and economics. Prior to this Mr Mahony’s initial career was in corporate advisory covering M&A, debt and equity raisings, restructurings and IPOs. Mr Mahony is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Chartered Arbitrator and Chartered Accountant and has an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management, Bachelor of Commerce and post graduate qualifications in marketing, governance and accountancy as well as completing executive leadership programs at Harvard, Wharton and London Business School.
