Mr. Oba is a Senior Vice President and a member of the Business Development team. Prior to joining MidOcean Energy in 2024, Mr. Oba spent 13 years with Mitsubishi Corporation where he was responsible for LNG and natural gas value chain business development across the globe. During his tenure at Mitsubishi Corporation, Mr. Oba was seconded to a wholly-owned subsidiary, Diamond Gas International Pte. Ltd. There, he spent significant time working on various business development initiatives during the growth of its equity LNG portfolio.  Mr. Oba commenced his career at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in the Investment Banking Division and graduated from Keio University with a Bachelor of Laws.
